Those be log walls! :) Our house is solid log. Ten years after being built, I can still walk into my house and SMELL that wood. Glorious. And thank you. :)
It's the only sort of tree we've found that I can have in the house. I've never been allergic to such things before, but a few Christmases ago, we had to haul the tree out in the middle of the night because I couldn't breathe!
They tend to be rounder and squattier--my favorite shape!
Just after this, he played peek-a-boo, cookies still clenched in his wee hands. It was adorable. When he's hiding behind his hands, convinced you can't see him, he has such a look of serious concentration on his little face.
Oh, indeed. And that boy looooves cookies! His mean mom and dad don't let him have sweets very much. I consider it my grandmotherly duty to see he's not deprived.
Do you see the tree topper?? It's hard to really make out, but she's a truly funky white witch with wings and a crown. No relation to me, unfortunately. Heheheee!
And covet them he did...whenever his parents took their eyes off him! I might have put a few cookies close enough to the edge of the table for him to grab. I might not have. Ok, I did.
Once the children were no longer small, we went with the all spun-silverglass ornaments. Needless to say, most of those did NOT come out this year! And the ones that did--yeah, high enough.

Funky Witch! (I must take a picture of mine...)
Ok, I did.
Boy Batman & cookie are the essence of Christmas with the tree the sparkling fairy world he deserves.
We decorate our tree the same way - except it's cat's paw high.
Some of your ornaments look much like ours.
Many Blessings!
