It has been a crazy weekend. The snow was lovely. No worries there. But a LOT came up this weekend, and I needed to get Beyond the Gate finished and to my editor by Sunday night.
It didn't happen. It's ok, really. I technically have until the end of March to hand it in. I just wanted to get it done early so she had more time to go over it with her fine-toothed pen. What kept me from finishing, you ask? GrandWilliam, for one. I had the BEST time playing with him on Saturday. Not trading that for a deadline. No way. I also had to help Mark (Nelson--Poets of Pevana, and the soon-to-be released, King's Gambit) with his blurb for the back of the book. AND this...

It's been in the works for a while, but Eric decided to do a Valentine's Day promotion so we got it all ready and prettified over the weekend. Hadley Rille Books is offering FREE LOVE on Wednesday and Thursday. If you have a Kindle, or Kindle Ap, you can download Jingle, my original romantic fairy tale, for FREE! As well, we'll be offering other short stories, and even a novel. So--stay tuned! I'll link you appropriately when the time comes.
And, it's Monday. You know what that means--another new post up over at Heroines of Fantasy. Mark's up this week with the question--what happens AFTER the Happily Ever After? Why don't we see that in our fiction? Can you think of any stories that do? Head on over to Love's Value in Fantasy and join in the discussion.

I have tried downloading the Kindle ap to my computer to no success. It downloads, but then I can't find it! I have to get my kids to help me.
(You will probably find your PC Kindle reader in your programmes - under Amazon. That's where mine is.)
Congrats on the short story and with the ever-so-close to being finished Beyond the Gate. --
Saw this over on Eric's LJ - good stuff!
